The automotive experts at Consumer Guide Automotive have recognized the 2013 Chevy Sonic with its prestigious “Best Buy” Award for Subcompact Cars. And in a brand-new category — “Electric” — the 2013 Chevrolet Volt has also won Consumer Guide Automotive's “Best Buy” honors.

The “Best Buy” Award is Consumer Guide Automotive’s highest accolade. “[A] ‘Best Buy’ represents the very best balance of attributes within its class,” says Consumer Guide Automotive. Factors considered include a vehicle’s value, features, accommodations and performance.

Consumer Guide Automotive calls Sonic a “must-see” car that is “fun to drive” with a “surprising depth and breadth of features.” Said one road-test editor, “High levels of refinement, a comfortable driving experience, and what I think is probably the best-looking interior in a subcompact are some of this car’s strong points.”

In winning Consumer Guide Automotive’s newest award, Chevy Volt was recognized for its technological excellence. “It adeptly blends the benefits of electric-only driving while providing a gasoline engine to eliminate the ‘range anxiety’ associated with cars that run only on batteries.”

The Consumer Guide “Best Buy” Award is one more first for Chevy Sonic. And the “Best Buy” Award is just the latest accolade for Chevy Volt, which is already the best-selling rechargeable car this year.
